Battle of The Books

On the day of the competition,  groups compete in several rounds during the morning and the final two teams compete for the championship in the afternoon in front of their classmates and teachers.  The groups will be asked a list of questions based on the events in the books. Team members have to work collaboratively to make a group decision and then hold up the card with the title of the book that they chose as their answer.

All students who competed receive a participatory ribbon and those who are our champions have a pizza party to celebrate their accomplishments!

It was a nail-biter all the way down to the last question, but at the end, the Eliminators would be victorious. Cheers could be heard filling the auditorium in celebration of the finalist.  The crowd understood all too well, as many of them were competitors themselves,  the hard work it took to get on the stage and compete in the finals.  When all was said and done, everyone was happy to compete in the battle. Many students could be overheard saying there's always next year.

Congratulations to the winners and to all those who competed!

Congratulations to Ms. Cuevas for another successful year of Battle of The Books!
